Important Notes
Flagship’s 2008 Summer School
Program is open to Lowell K-2 students participating in the Title I
Summer School. If there are not enough summer school participants
to fill the Flagship activities, Flagship will be opened to
non-summer school participants.
Flagship will run 12:30–3:30 pm,
Monday through Friday, June 18–July 10.
*There will be no summer school or
Flagship on July 4.

Mondays
Dance
12:30-1:30 pm
Move your body to the music in
this dance and movement class with returning teacher, Jayann.
Outdoor Games 12:30–1:30
pm
Try bocce ball, badminton, volleyball,
croquet, ladderball and more! We’ll be playing lawn games.
Dash’s Delight 2–3 pm
Get ready to run! We’ll be playing
all kinds of games like tag, sharks and minnows, and much more!
Splash Deck
2–3 pm
End the long, hot, summer day by cooling off in Westside Park’s
splash deck.
Tuesdays
Arts & Crafts 12:30–1:30 pm
Get your creative juices flowing and
come celebrate summer! We’ll be making arts and crafts of all
kinds.
Games Galore 12:30–1:30 pm
Come try our fun new selection of
board games like Hisss and Slamwich, plus we’ve still got your favs…
Tricky Science
2–3 pm
Get ready to mix up your own potions and grow a worm farm! Let’s
hear it for science!
Splash Deck 2–3 pm
End the long, hot, summer day by cooling off in Westside Park’s
splash deck.
Wednesdays
Dance 12:30–1:30 pm
Move your body to the music in
this dance and movement class.
Soccer
12:30–1:30 pm
Dribble, shoot, score! We’ll be
learning basic soccer skills through drills, games, and scrimmages.
Yoga
2–3 pm
Stretch, relax, and get a gentle
workout with poses like “downward dog,” “cat/cow,” and “cobra.”

splash deck.
Thursdays
Story Time 12:30–1:30 pm
Unwind a little, listen to a great story and then do a related arts
and crafts project.
Drama
12:30–1:30

We will select a play, design costumes, create sets, rehearse, and
give a performance the last week!
Bug Club
2–3 pm
Butterflies, water skippers and bumblebees, oh my! Come meet our
buggy friends firsthand.

Field Trips
12:30–3:30
We’ll be taking all summer school students on field trips to explore
our great community!
