Kindergarten & First GradeArts & Crafts Mon, 3:00 – 4:00 Get your creative juices flowing! We’ll be making seasonal arts and crafts of all kinds, from valentines to celebrations of spring.
Imagination Station Tues, 3:00-4:00 We’ll be boarding the imagination train and learning about our world, from the rainforest to the Arctic. We’ll read books, play games, and do arts and crafts from different parts of the planet.
Happy Feet Wed, 3:00 – 4:00 Move your body to the music in this class that’s an exploration of music, song, and modern dance.
Games Galore Thurs, 2:00 -3:00 Get your game on! We’ve got all the classics from Chutes & Ladders, Candyland, Memory, Uno, Bingo, Twister and more! Bring your friends! |
Second & Third GradesPen Pals Mon, 3:00-4:30 If you love to write letters, get letters and make new friends join Pen Pals. In this class we will be writing to Flagship friends at Franklin and Hawthorne. Please plan on attending EVERY week so you and your pal always get a letter.
Hip Hop Dance Mon, 3:00-4:30 If you love hip hop music, come bust a move… In this class, we’ll be learning some new dance moves, and creating dance routines.
Explorers Tues, 3:00-4:30 Travel the world with special guests from other countries! We’ll be learning about arts/crafts, foods, languages and games from a different country each week.
Book Club Wed, 3:00-4:30 We’ll be reading “My Father’s Dragon,” the fantastic adventure of Elmer Elevator, a young boy on a rescue mission to save a baby dragon from the clutches of fierce talking animals on Wild Island! Art, drama, and games will accompany our tale.
Tricky Science Thurs, 2:00 – 3:30 In this hands-on class, we’ll be visiting the Spectrum science center and the Zoological museum (full of animals of all shapes and sizes!) at UM, as well as conducting some science experiments of our own.
Turning the Wheel Thurs, 2:00 – 3:30 Play theater and movement games, sing, dance and express yourself! Turning the Wheel Productions is a national dance/theatre group that will lead you in making up your own dances, costume and set for a performance that you will help create! (this class will include 4/5 graders)
Thurs, 2:00-4:00 **meets only once a month!** In this mentoring program, we’ll take field trips, do activities and build friendships with Flagshippers from Hellgate HS. Fourth & Fifth GradesGUTS! Mon, 3:30-5:00 Girls Using Their Strengths! In this group just for girls we work on self esteem, team-building, leadership skills, and community service projects.
Native American Culture Club Learn more about our country’s Native American heritage! We’ll be trying out arts, crafts and games from a variety of tribes, with our very own Mrs. Salena Hill.
Dance Tues, 3:30-5:00 Teacher Katie and her dance fever continues! We’ll be trying out a new type of dance each week, from hiphop to ballet to Irish jigs!
Bobcat Bulletin Tues, 3:30-5:00 Inquiring minds want to know…Do you like to write or take photos? Students in this class will keep up the tradition of the Bobcat Bulletin, bringing Lowell the scoop each month.
Homework Zone Wed, 3:30-5:00 Get help with your homework, challenge your gourd with brain teasers, and compete in Flagship’s weekly Knowledge Bowl!
Spanish Wed, 3:30-5:00 Hola! You already know more Spanish than you think. Come learn a little more from the language that brought us the words taco, rodeo, pronto, fiesta, matador, piñata, and Nachoooooo!
Ice Skating Thurs, 2:30-4:30 Try out this fun way to get winter exercise. We’ll be taking a bus over to Glacier Ice Rink and getting out on the ice!
